Bulldozer

This was meant to be a simple bulldozer model for beginners. It got a bit out of hand again.

While it's the simplest original model so far, it still seems quite complex for beginners. There's still a need for something straightforward that anyone could build over a weekend.
The model isn't based on any specific prototype, or rather, it draws from several. Its shape resembles the old open bulldozers from the thirties, but those had cable controls. Hydraulic blade lifts appeared later. It's a bit of an old Stalinec, a bit of a newer Caterpillar, but mostly it's a free creation, limited only by the holes in the sheet metal.
The model is 145 mm (5.5”) long and 92 mm (3.5”) wide, so it's really small, fitting in the palm of your hand. The entire machine consists of 150 sheet metal parts and 564 pieces of fasteners. The tracks move independently. The bulldozer can drive and turn, but not very well, as the rubber tracks are quite stiff.
Building the model is relatively simple. This kit has the fewest sheet metal parts so far, and you only need to bend two strips.
The photos show a prototype version without the final gilding. The lifting cylinders of the blade and the seat are meant to be gold-plated.
