Motorcycle

This free-form take on a chopper is meant to be my first commercial model. To start with, I wanted something simple to test the whole process from design, through the manual, to the box.

However, a quick glance at the parts list shows that this plan got a bit out of hand. There are about two hundred metal parts and more than five hundred fasteners. So, with a total of 715 pieces, this set is on the larger side. At least, if we're comparing it to the classics.
The overall length of the bike, including the tyres, is 220 millimetres (8.5”). The wheels spin, the forks turn, the secondary drive works, and the kickstand is functional too. The engine features detailed cylinder heads and, at just twelve millimetres (0.5”) wide, it's quite a challenge to build. Some parts need bending during assembly. Building the model will require a mechanic's spirit and a watchmaker's patience.
Please download the manual first to see if you're up for it. The profiles of the bent parts are drawn to a 1:1 scale.
The kit includes a few extra parts in case of loss or damage during construction. These spare parts are listed in the parts list. For example: 412 39x +1 means there are 39 pieces of part number 412 needed for the build, plus one spare part.
If you want to build this model using my manual from a larger scale construction set, you certainly can (as long as it's just for yourself and for fun). Just don't forget to show off the result and send in some photos.

The Motorcycle Kit is not yet for sale.
